Stefan Rohm

Stefan joined Frontier Economics in July 2014.

Stefan is a manager in Frontier’s Competition and Energy practices and regularly advises his clients on the full scope of topics in competition economics (merger control, cartels, abuse of dominant position, litigation) as well as on a wide-ranging number of aspects of the regulation of infrastructure sectors.

Recently, he has advised his clients in relation to private damage claims across a number of European countries following a cartel investigation by the European Commission. In addition, Stefan also has considerable experience in providing support during merger control procedures by national and international competition authorities with a particular focus on multi-jurisdictional mergers. In his infrastructure regulation projects, Stefan has recently advised a gas network operator on the design of a new tariff structure for the relevant regulated activities. The depth of his regulatory experience is also nurtured by regular international and cross-sector benchmarking exercises of regulatory frameworks across Europe, ultimately allowing him to analyse the balance between risk and reward in existing schemes and to propose innovative solutions for his clients.

Stefan is fluent in his native German as well as in English and French and is based in Frontier’s Paris office. He holds an MSc in Industrial Economics from Toulouse School of Economics and a BSc in International Economics from University of Tübingen.
