Frontier speaks on separation and regulatory accounting at Club of Regulators workshop in Paris

Catherine Galano and George Houpis of Frontier today spoke at the Club of Regulators workshop in Paris. Catherine introduced a discussion on the goals and challenges of separation and regulatory accounting across sectors. George then shared insights of how regulatory accounts can support regulators’ objectives to support consumer protection and prevent distortions of competition in the telecoms sector across the world.

The workshop provided participants with an opportunity to compare objectives and practices across industries in relation to regulatory accounting and accounting separation.

The French “Club of Regulators” is an independent forum attached to the Chair in Governance and Regulation, and is hosted at the University Paris-Dauphine. The Club brings together French regulatory authorities willing to exchange information on institutional and organisational challenges that cut across different sectors, aiming to propose coherent actions and promote co-operation at both national and European levels.

Frontier regularly advises clients on regulatory issues across Europe.
