Frontier receives Gold Award for Payroll Giving thanks to employees’ charitable giving

Frontier employees have been recognised for their charitable giving with a gold Payroll Giving Quality Mark. The Payroll Giving Quality Mark is a benchmarking system that recognises when an employer offers a Payroll Giving scheme and highlights the businesses with high participation. Gold awards are given to companies where at least 10% of workforce use the scheme.

Payroll Giving is a UK government scheme similar to gift aid. It allows anyone who pays UK income tax to deduct charitable donations at source from their earnings, and donate the tax they otherwise would have paid as well. Each £1 donated by a basic rate tax payer through Payroll Giving means their charity of choice receives £1.25; each £1 donated by a higher rate tax payer means a total donation of £1.67. For charities, Payroll Giving is a valuable, long term source of revenue, providing regular income to help budget and plan ahead more effectively.
