Industry strategy and competition law discussed at Berlin’s ‘menu-inspired’ event

Today, around 50 clients from the political, energy, transport, telecoms and legal sectors joined our get together at Soho House Berlin. Our event did things a little differently, being based on a ‘menu’ format, and themes up for discussion included the three central topics that Frontier’s German offices worked on this year: mobility, competition law and policy.

For the ‘starter’ we were treated to an inspiring speech by Farina Boardwell from the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy. For the main course, Prof. Dr Daniela Seeliger, from Linklaters joined us. Our final course was delivered by Ralf Diemer from VDA.

Farina Boardwell presented the background and intentions behind the industry strategy pursued by the Minister of Economic Affairs.

Daniela Seeliger looked into digitisation and its implications for competition law.

Ralf Diemer discussed whether vehicles will become obsolescent in the future as climate protection continues to be top of the agenda. The three discussion topics were complemented by a flying buffet and drinks.

It was an excellent evening full of lively discussions on topical issues.

Frontier regularly advises on policy design, competition and mobility.
