The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority has published an Information Memorandum inviting applicants to bid in an auction for new, fifteen year, licences to access spectrum in the 1800MHz and 2100MHz bands in order to provide enhanced mobile connectivity across the country.

The auction is open to existing mobile operators and potential entrants. The award will proceed to an electronic auction if there is excess demand for the spectrum at base price.
