Frontier reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption. Our latest communication of progress describes our actions to continually improve the integration of the UNGC and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations.
The UNGC encourages businesses to support sustainable and socially responsible policies. It recognises that development goals can be supported by private companies as well as government and aid agencies.
Frontier has been a UNGC member since 2014. All members are required to regularly communicate what they do to promote the UNGC principles associated with the commitment, including
- Human Rights Principles: We ensure that all work that we do for clients makes us compliant with the UNGC’s human rights principles. We put an internal review mechanism in place ensuring our business-winning activity remains at all times consistent with UNGC principles and our values. We also have policies and open channels of communication in place to identify and address any issues that may arise in relation to employee welfare.
- Labour Principles: Frontier is an employee-owned company. The welfare of our employees is at the very core of our activity, since the value we bring to our clients lies in the people who work at Frontier. As part of our diversity and inclusion programme, we are committed to ensuring the absence of any form of discrimination on the grounds of ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation.
- Environmental Principles: We are committed to reducing our negative environmental impact as much as possible, and continue our efforts towards reducing CO2 emissions per head. Frontier has continuously supported social impact carbon projects in Africa to off-set our emissions, having received “carbon zero” status since 2010.
- Anti-Corruption Principles: Frontier aims to conduct all of its business in an honest and ethical manner. We are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, based on our anti-bribery and corruption policies, and a zero-tolerance approach to these issues.
Being a member of the UNGC is part of our wider commitment to make a positive impact on our community and wider society, including pro bono work, maintaining a working environment that supports and values our people, and the commitment to work in line with high ethical standards.
