Julian currently works across the Energy and Competition practices, most recently on carbon pricing and hedging strategies and on a vertical merger.
He combines quantitative skills with an understanding of the EU regulatory framework and the energy and climate systems. In his Energy projects, Julian most recently focussed on carbon pricing, the de-fossilisation of the transport sector and electricity market modelling.
Julian studied Economics in Berlin and Istanbul and worked as a student and teaching assistant at the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change, the Technical University and the Hertie School of Governance.
