Frontier presents at CNE seminar on measures to improve energy distribution network resilience in Chile

Fernando Barrera, Director in Frontier’s Energy Practice, today presented at a seminar organised by the Chilean energy regulator, Comisión Nacional de Energía (CNE), in Santiago. Fernando spoke about best regulatory and management practices in Europe which are designed to improve the resilience of the electricity distribution network.

Following widespread blackouts in Santiago during the snow storms of 2016, CNE is keen to introduce regulation to manage blackouts and promote efficient investment to deal with extreme weather events by improving the resilience of the network.

Frontier regularly advises private and public sector organisations in the energy sector both in Latin America and other parts of the world.
