Frontier speaks at Westminster Forum on 30 Hours Free Childcare

Gillian Paull, Senior Associate in the Public Policy Practice at Frontier, spoke today at the Westminster Education Forum Keynote Seminar on “Key issues for early years – funding, building workforce capacity and extending free childcare”. The seminar brought together leading policy makers and stakeholders in early education and childcare to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the forthcoming extension to the free childcare offer for three and four year olds.

Gillian mapped out the objectives of the policy to support and encourage parents with pre-school children to work, and the potential barriers to successful implementation and possible unintended consequences. She also described the ongoing evaluation of early implementation, led by Frontier, which seeks to provide lessons to help enable a smooth national rollout in September and early insights on potential impacts for childcare providers and families.

Frontier regularly advises clients in the public sector on issues related to early education and childcare policy.
